We can look back on a great year as starting vineyard owners! In September, we organised two open days with a total of about 270 enthusiastic visitors, which really made these days worthwhile. In the following weeks, we harvested all six grape varieties and this resulted in almost 7000 litres of wine, despite not being a full harvest yet. So we will be introducing different wine varieties in 2024, something we are very much looking forward to. From last year's harvest, a Sekt went into production, a fine blend of four grape varieties. This Sekt is now maturing in the bottle, which is a very intensive process. The bottles lie in racks and are rotated slightly each time, they come to rest at an increasing angle. As a result, the deposit (the yeasts) settles in the neck of the bottle and is frozen so that it can be easily removed. Then the cork is put on the bottle with muselet (basket of iron wire). We hope to introduce this Sekt next spring along with the wines from this year's harvest. Would you like to be kept informed regarding the introduction of our first wines? Then fill in the contact form at the bottom of the website.
